Fly Tying Round Robin / Annual Banquet

Fly Tying Round Robin - The Annual Fly Tying Round Robin has been rescheduled for March 9th at the Indiana Elks Club on 13th Street. The KSTU Board meeting will be from 6-7Pm with the Fly Tying Round Robin to commence right afterwards from 7~9PM. We hope to see you at this annual popular event.

Annual Fundraising Banquet - The Annual KSTU Fundraising Banquet will be on March 27th at our usual location, the Indiana Elks Club on 13th Street in Indiana. Invites will be sent out this week which will once again allow you to buy pre-event prize tickets when you RSVP. Buying pre-event prize tickets gets you registered for a nice Early Bird prize. The annual banquet has become very successful for our Chapter, but that success is only realized from your attendance. Every year, we try to obtain prizes that are not only popular and valuable, but also diverse. Once again we have a great prize list for 2010. We hope to see you on March 27th!!

KSTU Meeting Cancelled

The KSTU Fly Tying Round Robin event scheduled for this evening has been cancelled due to the approaching snow storm. We will notify if we are able to reschedule the event.

A February Tradition

The Annual Ken Sink Trout Unlimited Fly Tying Round Table membership meeting is on February 9th at 7PM at the Indiana Elks on 13th Street in Indiana. Hope to see you there for this KSTU popular tradition.

We are also getting closer to this year's KSTU Banquet which will be held on Saturday March 27th back at the Indiana Elks. Invitations will be sent out by the end of the month.

And as usual, we hope to see you at both events.

January Membership Meeting Set

The KSTU membership meeting for January is going to be an outstanding event. Thanks to Dennis Mochan, we will have Mike Heck of Mike Heck's Trout Guides. Located in Chambersburg, PA Mike offers guide services on the Letort, Falling Spring, Yellow Breaches, Little Juniata, and Spring Creek. Mike will be presenting a slide show on South Central PA spring creeks, along with doing a fly tying demo, new book (Spring Creek Strategies) signing, and flies for purchase.

As usual, our membership meeting is at the Indiana Elks on 13th Street in Indiana, PA at 7PM on Jan 12th.

Welcome to KSTU Blog!!!

Hello everyone! Your KSTU President Tom Clark here. One of the items on my list of "things to do" while President was to improve the communications ability of KSTU. The first task was to gather as many emails as possible from members. At this time, we have about 1/3 of the members emails and this list-serve has come in handy with notifications and invites.

The second task was to improve/re-do the KSTU website. Once I saw the Two Lick Anglers Blog designed by Dan Cardellino, I knew this is probably the best and easiest format to get information to the masses. Second task....check.

So over time, once I learn the ins-outs of this technology, the blog will improve and appearance and capabilities.

In the time being, Happy Holidays, and hope to see you at our first meeting of the new year on Jan 13th. Once we have details pinned down, the second post for this blog will be born.
